ReBuild hosts a number of year-round environmentally-oriented community workshops, classes, exhibitions, conferences, work parties, and other activities related to sustainability that may be of interest to those interested in recycling, sustainability, and reuse. These workshops and other events focus on various environmentally sustainable projects and practices around the home, and all manner of environmentally sustainable topics.
In addition, ReBuild:

Participates in community and regional exhibitions, fairs, festivals, and other events to increase the awareness in the need to recycle used building materials, train “hard-to-place” workers for “green collar” jobs, and understand how to live affordably on a modest budget |

Speaks at various neighborhood, community, regional, national, professional, and nonprofit organization meetings, forums, task forces, advisory committees, and conferences to convey the message that sustainability is affordable |

Offers homeowner classes on ways to use and install various recycled materials and assists customers in finding products most suitable for their construction or remodeling needs. |

Provides Saturday workshops on various environmentally sustainable projects and practices around the home and garden. Past workshops have included
such topics as home weatherization, refinishing kitchen cabinets, rain barrel installation, raised bed gardening, bee keeping, green roofs, photovoltaic and solar hot water system installation, zero energy home construction, urban chicken raising, HUD renovation financing, tree planting, and perennial edible landscaping. |
